My suggestion is to stay at hotels near the 16th Street Mall, Coors Field, and Colorado Convention Center. There are a lot of hotels, restaurants, bars, and cute shops. Enjoy Denver! 

At the end of the workshop, you'll receive a Certificate of Completion for 13 contact hours from Backpack Sciences. This is not a certified teacher education workshop. It is up to your school or state teacher credentialing agency whether they will accept the certificate. 

Cancellation Policy

If you have registered for the Science Sleuths Workshop, and you are no longer able to attend the training, our cancellation policy is as follows:

• Full refund minus a $50 admin fee up to 30 days before the start of the workshop, April 22, 2023.
• 50% refund after that up to two weeks out from the scheduled date, April 30th.
• No refund within two weeks of the training date.

Transferring Your Ticket

In lieu of a refund, you can also transfer your spot to someone else. We can transfer tickets up until the day before the event. 

To do this, please email [email protected] with the subject line “Ticket Transfer: Science Sleuth Workshop.” Please write to us using the same email address that was provided at registration, and include the full name & email address of the person who you would like to transfer your ticket to. 

Science Sleuth Workshop Cancellation

If there are fewer than ten people registered for the workshop two weeks out, the workshop will be canceled, and you will be issued a full refund for your registration. For this reason, if you plan on coming, register early!

Jackie Grundberg is a former wildlife biologist who has worked for the City of Boulder (Colorado) Open Space, Nature Conservancy, San Francisco State University (Cameroon), and Mystic Marinelife Aquarium. 

Jackie has over 20+ years of teaching experience. She has her teaching credentials to teach high school biology, middle school, and 1st - 6th grade Montessori (AMS credentialed). She taught in Upper Elementary for 11 years.

She has been a teacher trainer for the Center for Guided Montessori Studies (CGMS), a MACTE credentialing program for Montessori adult learners since 2017. She is also a private consultant to schools, teachers, and parents.

She has spoken at several Montessori conferences and is currently writing a book set to be published in April 2023. 

Jackie created Backpack Sciences as a way to help educators overcome the overwhelm of teaching hands-on, inquiry-based science by providing ready-to-go lessons. This has been her answer to "What's next?" after the foundation of our Montessori science albums. She has helped over 20,000 educators with her resources.
