Why Am I Doing This?
Education is a gift - one that every child, no matter where they live, deserves.
Every child deserves a safe, enriching place where they can discover, grow, and dream of a future that holds endless possibilities.
Kenya holds a special place in my heart. Thirty years ago, I was a young student in Kenya, studying wildlife management south of Nairobi. That experience transformed me; it led me to a career as a wildlife biologist, and eventually, to creating Backpack Sciences. Kenya was the beginning of so much for me - and the kindness of its people and the beauty of its land have never left my heart.
Now, I've been given an amazing opportunity to return and give back to the place that gave me so much.
In July 2025, I'll be there, helping to build a new school, Amani Primary, and witnessing its opening.
The funds we're raising through this promotion will help make this dream a reality. A reality for children who deserve to learn, grow, and shape their own futures.
This journey is deeply personal. It's a chance to help the next generation of children in Kenya and to see the place where my own journey began.
I hope you'll join me in making this dream a reality for them, too.

- Decide which or choose both amazing workshops you're going to attend in January 2025. Sorry, no members' benefit this time since all money is going to charity. Just know that 100% of your $10 will be donated. Sessions will be recorded.Â

What happens next?
- After you've purchased a unit, you will receive an email with details on how to access the unit lesson videos and PDFs. You have instant access to my library of lesson plans!
- After you've registered for the workshops, you'll receive a confirmation email. A week before the workshop, you'll recieve an email with the Zoom link.Â

For every $10, two students will receive a brand-new pencil case filled with pens, coloring pencils, an eraser, and a geometry set.
For $35, we can provide a bench desk for two students to share.
And $50 gives a student their own locker desk and chair.
